RUMI Chair
plywood panel, fabric, rope
This chair began as an extension of a table we previously designed with an organic form. The Rumi Chair was imagined to accompany the table while continuing the same exploration of shape, material, and softness in structure.
Through several iterations, the design evolved into an exploration of the relationship between soft and hard materials. Openings in the plywood allow fabric and ropes to be woven into the structure, introducing a tactile and playful layer while softening the rigidity of the wood.
