MELTING WAVES
Spatial design through ethnographic study
Developed in the Ethnography course at Parsons School of Design, this toolkit is based on observational research in a gelato store, called ‘Sant Ambroeus Gelateria and Coffee Bar’ in New York. This project reinterprets the entire journey of tasting gelato, from anticipation to selection and enjoyment, as a spatial experience. Through observation, everyday moments are translated into a fluid sequence of sensory and emotional interactions.
